Re: 99 WJ Bumper covers and cladding.... OPINIONS!?

door handles and mirror housings do not match 100%, the mirrors are just a little shinier than the door handles. (faded also maybe?)
its not too much difference though. im thinking ill just do gloss. make him happy, and make everything look the same.

I agree. If you're willing to put in the work, the outcome is amazing. I myself am contemplating painting everything gloss black this summer (the Patriot Blue doesn't really do it for me) for the beauty of the blacked out look.

how difficult is it to remove the door handles? i have the front and rear bumpers off, not cladding though. i was going to leave it on while i paint it. im not sure if ill do the grill or not. maybe if i find a nicer chrome grill ill paint my current one black and see if i like it.

Uhh, it's like a medium-dark blue. It's quite a bit darker than your Steel Blue, but a little lighter than the Midnight Blue.

It's about a 2/10 on the difficulty scale. All you have to do is take off the interior door panels and there's a couple bolts you remove, then pull the handle right off, IIRC.

could you enlighten me on the meaning of IIRC? i feel dumb not knowing :/

i think ill have to paint them all to match. bumpers and cladding for sure, then ill do the handles and mirrors later. unless i can find a Limited for parts that is black also...
i, however, will NOT put Limited covers on a Laredo. (just like people putting Chevy grilles on a GMC...
