As winter is fast approaching I decided to clean (wash, wax, etc) my 02 WJ Overland. Everything was going great until I got to the grille portion. I noticed that right below the head lights and right above the bumper, in that little space between the bumper and the headlights, there was a piece of old dried chewed gum. I was able to remove most of the excess gum, but now here is my problem. I now have a little bit a gum stuck to the head light assembly and the bumper, down in the crack between the two. I am planning on updating the headlamps assembly to these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...Q5fAccessories
That is going to be a couple of months away so i am not really concerned about the gum on the headlamps, but what i wanted to know does anyone have any tips, tricks, or ideas on how to get rid of the gum, but save the paint on the bumper? The gum looks like it has been there for a while. This is my wife's daily driver and commutes a lot to and from work. I believe that it had to have happened while on the freeway at some point, but who knows.
