Re: Antenna Base replace and repair

Man I forgot about those. My boat had one and it worked pretty well. Great idea on the routing. Also been kicking this around since I have my cb antenna on the back. I want to buy the HD radio module for my Clarion so I need to come up with something. http://www.pacetronics.com/prodpage....t_Selected=556 I'm not gonna listen to Aaron anymore when he says you don't know anything Thanks bud!

Re: Antenna Base replace and repair

Sorry to hijack your thread DooNorth but as you can see there are quite a few options if you decide to go "antennaless".

LOL....yeah...what does he know? HAHAHAHHAH

That's a sweet gizmo there...if you're keeping your CB antenna, then that might be an even cleaner way of going in your case.

Re: Antenna Base replace and repair

I've thought about that, but the wire would need to come out somewhere and I don't think I want to put any holes in my roof! Looked at O'riley and Advanced Auto Parts and they didn't have anything worth noting. All I want is a 4-8" mast or maybe even one of those shark-fin looking ones.

something to think about. http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp...u=086429082193 The base is pretty big and if the angle was right maybe it could even mount on the fender and cover up the boo boo.

That looks about right, but how does it attach to the car?

Re: Antenna Base replace and repair

Scratch that... they had 4 there and they were all seized up. The local dealership said for the whole works it would be about $75, but they do sell each part individually. Luckily I still have two little plastic pieces that saves me $25!

Here is the damage this thing has caused....

garage door repair Milwaukie

I have a weird house. It was built in 1973 by local super rich guy as a summer home to compliment his California winter home. He kept it 10 years and then sold it to another guy who also used it as a summer home until his wife died and he remained here exclusively.
