Re: anybody use rustoleum tint spray for tail lights?

You can, BUT you have to use a light coat. One of our members painted his 3rd brake light with his paint code and it turned out great. You just have to do light coats.

Or you can use Plasti-Dip. It's totally up to you if you want the tinted tailights. I would tint all of them so it all looks good, but do it properly and not messy. Make sure you also have the right tools and stuff so it comes out great and not with an orange peel.

Check your state laws. I know in VA they are.

Make sure you check and confirm.

Rubbing alcohol or Sand paper. I haven't tried it, but that's what I've heard from others.

Re: anybody use rustoleum tint spray for tail lights?

It can't possibly be legal...but I've been lucky and have never been pulled over. I think here it's about being visible at a certain distance. I run LED's in my tails, so they are very bright when lit. As for Rustoleum tint, I can't speak for that...never used it. Lastly, I'd do the 3rd brake light as well...
