anybody use rustoleum tint spray for tail lights?

Im looking to tint my tail lights on my WJ. Anybody use Rustoleum spray? Is the process easy?

You can, BUT you have to use a light coat. One of our members painted his 3rd brake light with his paint code and it turned out great. You just have to do light coats.

Or you can use Plasti-Dip. It's totally up to you if you want the tinted tailights. I would tint all of them so it all looks good, but do it properly and not messy. Make sure you also have the right tools and stuff so it comes out great and not with an orange peel.

thanks and by doing this am i going to get pulled over? im not going to black them out just give it a darker tint than the bright red stock color

Check your state laws. I know in VA they are.

Make sure you check and confirm.

Rubbing alcohol or Sand paper. I haven't tried it, but that's what I've heard from others.

yea tint all 3 lights

ive never been pulled over for tinted lights
but im in Canada, alltho they are illegal here...

mine are like a dark red

okay thanks guys i tried tinting a bicycle reflector and after it was completely dry i tried using nail poilish remover with NO accetone and it worked like a charm just incase you guys ever decide to remove your tint

It can't possibly be legal...but I've been lucky and have never been pulled over. I think here it's about being visible at a certain distance. I run LED's in my tails, so they are very bright when lit. As for Rustoleum tint, I can't speak for that...never used it. Lastly, I'd do the 3rd brake light as well...
