Re: Brush Guard for my WJ or no?

well I had one of those on a ZJ. its not going to give you a whole lot of protection. If you tap the corner, expect it to move inwards and put a nice dent in your fender.

Re: Brush Guard for my WJ or no?

just pulled the trigger and sent the paypal for the westin one for sale on the other forum. Should have by end of next week I am guessing. I think I did better losing out on the last one. This one is a brand name, plus it's also the one that breaks down into 3 pieces, to just use the center in the grille area. Pics will be posted once received and installed. And again like stated above, anyone in the NJ/NY area that will lend me a hand with installing? thanks Jason

Re: Brush Guard for my WJ or no?

well unfortunately the brush guard wasn't packed that great, and the box opened and another box containing the mounting brackets, and some other hardware went missing. UPS is picking the package up today and going to "inspect it" and issue insurance money, if they find themselves at fault. If not the seller is going to give me money to get the mounting brackets and hardware which we already located from a seller on eBay.

have to say, I real don't like the look of Brush Gaurds on WJ's. They look better w/o them. But that's just my $.02...

I don't either.. I didn't really like my bumper til I got the winch in it.

That blows with the shipping though. I hope they don't screw you with it all

Re: Brush Guard for my WJ or no?

Thanks Chuck. UPS isn't going to inspect the package without taking the whole thing away and I don't want to see it disappear, as they say it will end up going back to the shipper, it's not a business, the seller can't send me out another one. UPS then said they would inspect it on site, and then when they called back to schedule appointment to come pick it up they said they can't do onsite, its like a big circle. So seller found found a place that will sell just the mounting brackets and other hardware and the seller is going to flip the bill for it, gonna order tomorrow.

I hope that it does after all this LOL. The ones seem to say 99-04 and some of them say that it wont fit certain editions like special edition or overland. And from what I have read it says that cause of the tow hooks they might have, and that's only because you need to remove them. So no sure. The guard I am getting is off of an 02 I believe. So I hope everything fits right.

Worst case some custom made brackets could do the trick. I love mine and would do it all over again. It gives it more respect

I will make sure before I order the brackets tomorrow that they will infact work with an 04. If not off to get some custom ones made.
