Re: Brush Guard for my WJ or no?

woohoo mounting brackets and hardware arrived yesterday. Now just gotta see when I will have the time to do this. Looks like the bumper definitely needs to come off in order to secure the mounting brackets.

yeah I will have to do that. I gotta see what I can do temporarily depending on when I can get it done. I never pulled the bumper of the Jeep. I want to make sure I get it all back on right and straight and what not. Have you?

its not hard to do and very simple, theirs good info hear http://wjjeeps.com/grilles/grillesrem.htm#GRILLEREM
the rivets in the wheel well don't have to go back or can even get screws. like others do. but it helps keep the dirt out of behind the bumper.

i picked up the rivets from napa $7.17 for 20 #770-2871 but only need 6
and can install then with a pair of pliers and a snip.

i have not taken mine off yet but i am going to install the front tow hooks and a some lights behind my grill soon so i will be taking it off. just have not been able to finishes making my bar for the lights due to this heat outside.

yeah man I hear ya. It's gonna be cooler the next 2 days, I should be able to get to it on Tuesday. I noticed that the spots that the rivets go into are close to the edge so I think I might just use some black zipties to put it back together. I have checked out that piece on wjjeeps.com to see what I was getting myself into haha
