You can also check out the sticky: The WJ Owner's Guide To Recommended Mods, there's quite a few ideas we've put together there too.

Re: Dash, Center Concole and Shifter LEDs...done

So gus I finally did my dash and pulled my base model hvac control thing to replace the bulbs cause they arent soldered on the basic unit. 4 pc74s but the cheaper ones from superbrightleds didnt have enough throw, probably going to replace them with the ones i used for the gauges. In the process I pulled the 2 bulbs from the EVIC and the 2 bulbs from the HVAC buttons (rear defrost and a/c buttons) and they are bulbs I can't identify. They are both tiny tiny with different bases. Problem now is, even putting the factory bulbs back in the little indicator lights for when they are pressed wont come back . The default bulb backlighting still works, just cant figure out how to get that defroster light back on. (the a/c unit is easier to tell when its pressed, the defroster I can't tell at all). Also some of the pc74s indicators in the cluster arent working even if i swap the polarity. Tested the same bulbs in other places and they work. I got the turn signals working, but the hi-beams wont light up, and neither will the fogs indicator. Oh this process.....

I'm not sure what the HVAC sizes are, mine are soldered so I haven't done messed with those two yet. For the dash, if you didn't do it when you were working on that, try disconnecting the positive battery cable, then swappin out the bulbs. The cluster for the dash can be a pita, the leds I got have 3 leds on each replacement "bulb" and I had to keep playin (turning) with them all till I got the whole thing to light up.

Looks awesome Gus! For the hvac stock lights since they're soldered in did you just leave them on and lay the strips over them? And for the shifter did you just disconnect the harness and splice into them? Thanks

Re: Dash, Center Concole and Shifter LEDs...done

I left the soldered lights in. I just took the housing apart and used 2 medium and 2 short LED strips. The small ones I used to light the red/blue above the knobs, with LEDs facing out. The medium ones I just put the sticky side facing the housing and LEDs facing inwards. It can be a PITA trying to get them adjusted to light everything evenly. Then, for the shifter I cut the wiring for the stock light strip, wired 2 small LED strips for the shifter and the HVAC strips into the stock wiring. The shifter lights are a tad bright because they don't seem to dim like the rest, easy fix, I just haven't gotten back to messing with it yet.

Cool thanks. Do you have the manual or auto climate control? Just wondering bc I have the manual and I thought you could actually change those out.
