It is the Putco chrome "grill" overlay for the factory taillights. If I get the Eagle Eye lens, I will do away with the overlays. Many thanks for the Ebay links!

Re: Demonstrative pictures of the Eagle Eye LED tail-light

Ugh....

So it wasn't bad enough I want the Gen 3 projector headlights, I now want these tails too....

EDIT: just to let you know, euro tails for the WJ are identical to the US tails. Except they use 4 lights instead of just 3, bottom one is for rear fog light.

EDIT2: Oh by the way, props for mentioning where you got the pics and who they belonged to. Having dabbled in photography for the past 2 year, it used to cause so much anger when people posted their photos on another site without credit. So, IMO you done the right thing.

@Cruzin: Make sure to post some pics, you can never have to many. Also, as a word to the wise, These use the older style 1157 "stick base" bulbs instead of the 3157 wedge.

Looks good, I've been thinking about these for a while. Im thinking about tinting them and leaving the clear part untinted but Im not sure. Im just concerned about LEDs burning out fast.

Re: Demonstrative pictures of the Eagle Eye LED tail-light

I'm thinking of buying these rather soon. Is there any extra wiring that needs to be done like with the halo headlights or is it already in a harness and everything. Also, since they use the different bulbs I assume I need to go out and buy those since they most likely won't come with them right?

Question Re: Demonstrative pictures of the Eagle Eye LED tail-light

New to the forum. Wife has a 2001 WJ and I'm sick of dealing with tail light issues, so I bought the smoked Eagle Eye tail lights. Out of the box they looked great.

Everything I read said 'Plug and Play' and 'Light bulbs included.'

Last night I go to swap them out and they don't work. With one stock tail light still connected and one LED connected I got the running lights to work. So I moved on to light number 2 and gave the running lights a try again... no luck.

Anyone else experienced any issues? I was under the assumption that since these were advertised as 'Plug and Play' they had resistors built into the unit to account for the difference in current the LED's pull compared to the incandescent.

I'm not at home now, but I just realized I didn't check to confirm that there were actually turn signal and reverse bulbs in the new LED units. Would that have any effect on running lights though?

Thanks!
