I took apart the Laredo grill i had on which had CHROME TRIM and brushed (faded) aluminum on the vertical bars.
The chrome trim and the brushed aluminum parts can be taken apart from each other. After removing the brushed aluminum insert, I took a dremel took to the mounting brackets that held that part in place to end up with a flush chrome trim part. Cut the wire mesh to size and hot glued in place. I decided to hot glue after trying several other methods that failed - like epoxy!, gorilla glue, and others. the issue seemed to be the wire mesh wanted to pull away from the chrome trim part before the stuff had a chance to set. I was able to use my fingers and a propane tank to glue it down and hold it until the hot glue set. Seems to be working fine (and doesn't show from the front - just take your time).
Now that we got that setup its time to reinstall. Since i wasn't putting the brushed aluminum part back (which had the mounting brackets to hold the snap the grill in place I used a few strategically located zip ties. By putting two zip ties together and using a part that was on the chrome trim (small u shaped part on the plastic I zipped it to the bumper/ backing part that holds the entire front assembly in (the black part that holds the headlights and others...). So two of those at the bottom on each side, make those tight as possible (with out breaking the plastic piece on the chrome trim. Now you can easily access those if you ever need to by removing the last to zip ties you have YET TO PUT IN PLACE. To fasten the top in place we will actually use your wire mesh (on the inside of the chrome so you cant see it from the front - so be sure to leave a little bit of overhang when you cut your wire mesh) and fasten it to the front clip as well at the top. Same thing for the other side and before you tighten it down, snip the loose wiretie ends - adjust grill left to right than fasten the two two down! If you ever had to take it off, simply use snips or needle nose pliers to break/tear, rip off the top wire tie , snip the bottom and its off.
And this is what mine looks like --->
