Question Does anyone know the dimensions of the 99'-03' fog housing?

I'm trying to figure out the Length, Width and Height of the housing. I'm trying to help a friend with his WJ as his 2002 didn't come with fogs and he wants to modify it.

I'll have to pull my stock ones out the closet tomorrow and measure them

I upgraded my son's '99 Laredo to Limited trim, and included the fogs in the modification. To do so with the existing front bumper cover would have been a hassle. Instead I just purchased a new front bumper cover on line- came to about $130 including shipping. Ordered matching automotive paint and clear coat on line, sprayed the cover per directions (three color coats, three clear coats), and mounted it in place of the old, weathered bumper cover and grill. Dead easy- just a few bolts and screws, the wiring for the fogs were already in place. New "stock" replacement fog housings fit right in, a couple of nuts, attached the existing wiring, good to go - the whole deal probably cost less than $300, and the front of the Jeep has a lot more presence. Last point- first time I ever did anything like this, and it looks pretty "professional".

Will be glad to forward links for the on line vendors that I used if you are interested.

I hate the shape of these fogs so much! Not only the shape, but the fluted lenses too! Finally in 2004 they got it right with circle clear fogs that I like. I believe that tube is a air vent breather but I could be wrong

Yes, that tube is a breather to keep the lenses moisture free, just like on the headlights.

I was wondering what the tube was too, never thought about it being something simple as a breather lol
