Fender Flares

Now that my wife is all settled up in her new WK2 time to focus on my wj. I will be getting my new rubber to finish off my lift kit i have. My question is i would really love a set of fender flares for my WJ. But i cant seem to find them anywhere. Does anybody have any info they can share with me or has anybody retro-fitted a different model Jeeps flare to the wj?

Thanks guys

Icelandoffroad.com has them for the wj. I like them, but have heard some build quality and fitment issues.

Re: Fender Flares

Those Iceland ones are the only WJ(built for the WJ) that I've come across in my search.. you could always get a ZJ fender flare, and modify it to fit.. either way tell us what you choose mate!

Re: Fender Flares

I checked out the website the flares are really nice exactly what i was looking for. But the only problem from me clicking that buy button is that if i keep my stock front bumper on (which is what i want to do) the flare will stick out pretty far from the stock bumper. It seems like they were meant to be installed with the steel bumper they fabricated. I just dont want it to get stuck on a branch or anything and get pulled off exspecially for $495 a kit. Anybody else notice that on the wj pics they have on the website?

Re: Fender Flares

I think they are supposed to compliment the Iceland-offroad front bumper.. You could still get them and keep your stock bumper, but you're going to have to do some cutting to get them to fit.

Actually if you do buy these you will have to cut. Another thing you could do is, buy some plastic trimming(same year, as your Jeep) and cut/trim it to fit your Jeep. That would be a first though :-P

IMO, for $500 you could put that towards something more important; i.e. off-road parts
