I had the 3rd Gen Halo´s too, but there is no way, that you can switch the internals.
So you are saying that I can remove the box from my stock headlights but won't be able to install it onto them?

Re: Gen 3 Projector Headlights - Installation Question

Anyway, aside from the electrical box thingie, the lights are in.....

Before:

After:

Oh yeah, baby!! Decided to wire the LEDs into the parking lights and halos as they aren't bright enough for DRL use.

Will be ordering a HID kit very soon as I broke a headlight bulb so need them before I can adjust the beam.

Re: Gen 3 Projector Headlights - Installation Question

looks good Marty. As far as adjusting. I haven't had anyluck with the screwdriver route haha. I just kept the headlight loose when I went to adjust and pulled it out so I could turn adjuster by hand, and then put it back. It took some time. My drivers side is done cause I had to change a bulb out, passenger side just waiting for so time to spare

Re: Gen 3 Projector Headlights - Installation Question

Right to save starting a new thread....

Found a supplier on here; XenonDepot. Looking at their Xtreme Digital kits which seem to have a lot of color choices...

Although on their website, they also list Xtreme HID 4300k Philips Xenon HID kits. Now obviously these are only in 4300k, however that is OEM temp anyway right and judging by pics seems white enough for me.

To make it more confusing though; they also list 'H4 4300k Bi-Xenon Xtreme Philips Xenon'. What is bi-xenon, is it worth the extra 50 bucks?

Anyone use their kits here on a WJ and did they fit with no problems?

Sorry if these are silly questions, but I just want to get it right first time and returning stuff isn't an option so they need to fit.

Bi-Xenon are for headlights that have the high and low on the same bulb, so for a WJ no you don't need or want them.

I installed some from Xenondepot in another wj, and they work well. Just make sure you use relays with theirs. Some kits you don't seem to need them but its better to use them anyway.

Re: Gen 3 Projector Headlights - Installation Question

I have 2 of the Xtreme kits on mine...5000k. One kit in the fog lamps, and one kit in my low beams. The Xtreme kit came complete with relays and harness. They installed with no problem and absolutely no modification on my Gen 3 projectors.

Re: Gen 3 Projector Headlights - Installation Question

I got the same headlights and I really like them. I run 10k HIDs with them. I also went with halo.projector fogs that match well with the headlight halos. You can also change the LEDs out for different colors in the future. I haven't figured out to to adjust my lights too well yet either.
