Halo!

New member here, looking for some advice.

I got a new to me 2004 GC limited a few months ago, and I'm working on fixing things to my liking. The head lights are a bit foggy so I tried to polish them. It didn't go well, the stuff seems to be on the inside of the lens. I used the same Mothers system I use on my wife’s PT cruiser, they come out beautifully clear.

So I decided to replace them, I got a set of projectors with halos. I'd like to have to halos come on with the ignition switch in the on position, regardless of the light switch. Kind of like DTRL.

My question is can you recommend a wire in the engine bay I can tap into that can make this happen? Preferably one that won't cause any trouble with other systems.

Thanks

Re: Halo!

Welcome to the garage.
You could use the power wire on the EVAP/purge solenoid (pin 1 on the solenoid connector). This one is powered via the ignition switch in run and start.
This circuit is protected with a 10A fuse. It feeds besides the solenoid, also the AC compressor clutch and the shifter assembly.
This solenoid is mounted to the left fender in the engine bay.

Re: Halo!

I just ran mine on toggles. 1 for the halo's, and 1 for the LED's. That way I had options to run them however.
