Re: Hid ballast mounting?

For you guys with HID fogs, where are you mounting those ballasts?

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

For my fog lights...I interlocked a few zip ties, made a brace that fit the ballast perfectly and then zip tied up in the front bumper somewhere. I don't know what I zip tied it to, but when you get down there you'll be able to find a good spot that will hold it. Don't be afraid to go zip tie happy on the ballast, I used a lot of zip ties to make sure the ballast didn't ever move. I had to pull back the wheel well and Its close to the actual fog light location itself.

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

Thanks Shendri, so you were able to get around the fender lining to get the fogs without removing it? Did you have to remove anything to get to the spot where you mounted the ballasts?

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

I only had to peel it back, didn't have to remove anything but the old bulbs.
