Re: Hid ballast mounting?

For the headlights or Fogs?

Headlights I just mounted them behind the Headlight and for the Fogs I had to zip tie them really tight against the Frame.

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

I dont have pictures but just look around the for best spot really. I put one on top of that black box (rectangle box) in between the battery and fender. Then the other one just look around on the right side for a spot. Theres not really a great spot on the drivers side so just look around for whatever you think is best. If you are using a relay then use the factory ground on the drivers side fender, you will recognize it by the factory wires grounded to it. The loop on the relay might not be wide enough to fit on that bolt so you need to cut it off and put a new ring terminal on it. You can pick those up at any hardware store.

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

there is the picture I was going to reference. I used that black box on the passenger side too. You wont be able to mount your drivers side one where he did if you have a relay because the ground wire isnt long enough to reach there from the factory ground spot.

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

you could probably stick it on top or side of the air box if you stil have a factory air intake

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

I got a set with slim ballasts a few weeks ago and the ballasts were so thin they fit under the headlight. So I just left them there, and called it a day.

Re: Hid ballast mounting?

I mounted mine right behind the headlight housing where the bent tubing surrounds the light. If you look where the lights mount, you should see what Im talking about. I just used a step bit to the first mark then used some sheet metal screws and a bracket to tie them down. PM me if you want more info. Good luck!
