Re: HIDs in fogs

To find out the bulb size, either look in your owners manual in the glove box or pull the actually fog light bulb out of the light housing and it should say the number on it. Hopefully this helps...

Re: HIDs in fogs

I used to have 10000k hid's and I used an H10 bulb. Most fog lights are H10 bulbs, but I had to modify it. There are 3 prongs that hold the fog light in the housing, I just cut the top prong off and they fit. Not sure if you would wanna do that, but that's what I did...

Re: HIDs in fogs

H10...but if you get halo/projector fogs in the future, you'll need H3 bulbs.

WJ fog light uses a 9055 but you can put a 9005 HID bulb instead

Re: HIDs in fogs

check around on ebay for 9055 bulbs. i got 2 ballasts and 2 bulbs with a lifetime warranty for about $40. 10,000K is recommended for the fogs. be sure to remove the haze from the lens to maximize light output

Re: HIDs in fogs

I put 9005 in my 99wj fogs. I bought the 3000 and 5000 bulbs. I swith them out dependings on the season. Right now with the snow, i like the whites bc its looks amazing, other wise the yellow is a nice contrast. I've had a 35w kit from tony and from DDM and had no problems.
