Get the Gen3 housings; should be on eBay.

Most of us get our HID's from Tony at Xentec (username - tcm glx) or Steve at XenonDepot.

Re: I like your hids i want them same ones

if you want affordability go with Tony Xentec (Baja HID)

if you want real quality then Xenon Depot

I have the 6K xentec from Tony and I love them

I still can't wrap my head around the quality argument between these two kits. What aspect of the XD's are better compared to the Xentecs? Does anyone know?

Re: I like your hids i want them same ones

just search bro....your not a newb....but just off the top of my head

xentec-no emi filter, not water proof, no phillips glass, 1 relay for two lights, not digital etc.

Heres the specs on the XD xtreme kit-all kits are made in Japan for XD only
http://www.kbcarstuff.com/HID_Kits_s/216.htm

wheres the xentecs specs? They dont have any because they buy all different kinds of ballasts, bulbs etc.

Re: I like your hids i want them same ones

now-from my experience the XD kit was high quality. The ballast case was thick and heavy, rubber injected. All connections had water protection and was high quality wire. The bulbs were also more substantial and have phillips anti-uv quartz glass. All componets looked to be oem quality

The xentecs were light and thin housings on the ballasts. The back of the ballast case was very thin aluminum. So thin I could push it in. connections did not look water tight or substantial at all. The bulbs just looked cheap....sorry. I bought the kit new and after opening the box....never installed them. Relay was same wire with no water protection and one relay for two headlights.

Most of that is feature-set, not a difference in quality (emi filter, phillips glass, digital, relay; another can be bought).

And Tony says they're water proof...? Are they not? Did you have the slim ballast or the regular ballast?

The slim ones I have seem to be built like tanks!

What are the differences between digital and non-digital?
