I always wonder if the slots in the grille show up at night and make the output look odd.

Yes and no... they do cut down on light output a little compared to when I have the grille off during aiming, however I don't have noticeable big dark bars running through the beam output...

I was just trying to get something that I could get downrange with some more side illumination. The dirt roads/jeep trails by my house are all open range so I wanted to be able to see the huge cows before I hit them... I also didn't want any jackass to be able to just push on them as they walked by...

If I can I'll try to get some decent night shots. I only have an old point and shoot camera though, so if any photography gurus have any pointers that will help!

Re: lights on grille/bullbar

I think I might have to get a metal plate across the back to position them where I want, instead of like 99PlatinumWJ's setup. But thanks for the pictures! :-)

Hmm, maybe I should look into something like this.

Re: lights on grille/bullbar

sorry about the pic. delay. I couldn't get a good on the road shot, so I took a pic. of the light up against the wall, just to show you there are no bars running through the light. The big dark spot in the middle is the way the light was designed, but doesn't show on the road...

I bet you blind people like a muthaf***a lol, Have you ever considered getting projectors of some sort?

Plus having HID lights in your high-beams isn't a wise choice.

I have yet to do so, I want to lift it before I put any type of auxiliary lights on

Re: lights on grille/bullbar

sorry this took so long... So keep in mind that my camera sucks and these pics aren't nearly as bright as real life. I also reaimed my Hella's quickly, just so you could see the pattern on the road... this isn't how I usually use them. Also with HID's I think the pattern will flood more from what I've seen on other forums (which is what I'm hoping for with the conversion). We also have a full moon right now which probably didn't help the brightness any...

Here's just Hella's

Hella's plus just fogs
