Anyone successfully put an OVERLAND grille on the limited model?

I want all chrome up front (i think i want it), but want to make sure someone might have already verified this is possible.

I have seen WJJEEPS saying you should be able to -->

I found one on ebay for 98 bucks!!! I just don't like the brushed aluminum middle pieces! So that is keeping me from installing the new black mesh I have until I get an answer on this...

Anything '04 to '04 is a direct swap. As far as the mesh goes remove the grill and you'll see that the header panel also has the upright bars built into it. Just cut your mesh to size, slide it in behind the bars of the header panel and zip tie it to the bars.Just watch the paint on the bumper when sliding the mesh in.I wasn't paying attention and scratched mine(Luckily before the paint job). Now just use the outer chrome shell of your Overland grill and bolt it on.It covers up the ties and you don't see a thing. The only thing extra you might have to do is make a couple of spacers for the two outside screws on top because you're not using the grill background panel

Cheapjeep - thanks for your answer! This is good news!

But I don't understand what you mean by zip tieing the mesh. What piece are you zip tieing it to (is the part your talking about included in the picture above)?

Also, did you cut you mesh down to individual pieces or just use one large piece.

I just got this here for 46 bucks.

When you pull the grill it will become clearer. The header panel that your headlights mount to actually have the same vertical bars as the grill you just cant see them underneath the fancy stuff. Just slide your mesh behind the bars in the header panel, zip tie to the same bars, then cover up the mess with your new chrome grill. You'll see what I mean. Let me know if you run into trouble but I think you"ll be fine.

Oh and I used 1 single piece. Now the bad news Grant. I think you bought the wrong grill. Some of these sellers on Ebay have no idea what they're selling or just don't care. That grill is for a '99-'03. I've seen on the WJ site you can adapt an '04 grill to earlier but nothing on earlier to '04.If you look at the Ebay pic you see screw tabs on the lower part of the grill.'04s don't use those.I would find an '04 grill somewhere cause you're gonna run into fitment issues. Sorry bud.
