Overland steering wheel on a Limited?

Just quick question,

Would I be able to fit an overland wheel outer to my Limited WJ or are they non-interchangeable?

I need to order some stuff from Just For Jeeps next month so this maybe included, its just a lot of coin to loose if it doesn't fit.

Thanks again!

Brosexual, I been there done that, and yup they're interchangeable

I picked up a mint one for around $400 US. However, to take off the steering wheel, in short, its a major pain in the ass! Two prong pullers DO NOT WORK, if you use one, you'll just end up breaking off one of the two tabs and that pesky steering wheel will remain in place, laughing at you, silently mocking you and your lack of masculinity. Jeep has a specific tool for this, but you're way across the water somewhere else so I don't know if you have a jeep stealership easily accessible to you?

Anywhoo, here's a little writeup, what I copied. It works, easiest way, but its a pain in the ass and those metal flakes get EVERYWHERE (and I mean everywhere, name an orifice or place in the jeep, and they'll be there).

http://www.jeepslimited.com/index.ph...=26&Itemid=102

follow the writeup and you will not cry very much.

Re: Overland steering wheel on a Limited?

Thanks for the info man!

Good to hear they're interchangeable and I do have a good dealer nearby.

I'll keep my eye out on eBay for a while to save a few bucks I think, bookmarked your link to thanks again.

Re: Overland steering wheel on a Limited?

No problems marty! Happy i could help ya out!

I did it myself, and I'll be honest, I paid the $400 usd for the steering wheel back in september but its still sitting in its ups box in the back of my wj lol. Maybe you will motivate me to install it on mine aswell! I cracked the notch on the old wheel and got all mad and now its just sitting there mocking me.

I have the holes drilled and tapped, now all i need to do is get the puller and witness my handiwork lol

Re: Overland steering wheel on a Limited?

To be honest .. I really planned to put it in i really did, I went out and rented the drill and tap and steering wheel puller tool .... low and behold, school took over and the ****ing thing is still sitting in my closet right next to my undies.

.. Just thought you guys should know its been next to my undies (clean ones though) .. just in case I do sell it lol. It's more of a conversation piece..

"Wow dude you have a steering wheel in the back!?!"
"..yeah, cool right!?!"
"YEAH YOU'RE SO COOL"

Conversations go something like that ^
