Re: Projector headlights

Ok guys, thanks for sherring your experiences with me. But when i read it well all generation projector lights have more or less problems with water ingress. So it seems that sealing the halfs with silicon will be necessary for all. Ok, i will shop around on the net a bit more ( the offers i saw on e-bay where not appicable to me, since the sellers donīt deliver to Brazil)
Thanks to all for the input.

Re: Projector headlights

Also when you seal it, just run a bit around the seam where the clear plastic meets the black plastic.

Use clear silicone, it might be called clear gutter sealant .. or something else, just make sure its silicone and its clear, should be cheap!!

Also, if you can, transfer over the L shaped vents from your old lights to the new ones

Re: Projector headlights

Are they really that much better than popin in hid bulbs into the stock housing? I found some gen 3 for 150 with the fogs too.

Re: Projector headlights

They are much better because the lights are actually focused onto the street and you won't have scattered patterns of light on the road that may blind people.

Re: Projector headlights

Agreed, they are completely worth it. I used to have HIDs in the stock housings and the the difference is night and day.

x2 I had all the combos

Projectors w/ Halogen
Projectors w/ 6000K HIDs
OEM Headlight w/ HIDs
OEM Headlight w/ silverstars.

The Projectors have a nice light spread. With OEM lights and HIDs, I mean you can drive with them (I did for a while) but with the scatter its quite bright, the projectors allows the light to focus. The key is aiming them properly (which I still have to do).

I'll also agree with you guys on this one. I remember this one stretch of road connecting vancouver to other suburbs, its a highway and very dim lit. I almost always had my highbeams on when i would travel there, not anymore, oh yeeah!!

Re: Projector headlights

These lights look quite nice, what is the brand name?
Any problems with water ingress on these ones?
Can HID's be used?
