Re: Projector headlights

Is this just SHI**Y build quaility or did somebody screw with these. I bought the Open Box Special for Cheap so I shouldnt really complain but Im just wondering and I am considering taking apart and sealing correctly with clear silicone. Since there are considerable gaps where water can get in.

I could also use some advise for LED turn signals. If somebody knows what kind of relays and maybe resistors.

I'm gonna need to see some install pics or I call BS. Those look EXACTLY like stock Gen. III projectors, which are not CCFL. They just have a glass ring with two small LEDs under the little silver clip on the bottom. The real CCFL rings from advanced automotive concepts are $200 alone and designed for the stock housing.

Just crappy quality. Mine came the same way except for the smudge on the lens.

Re: Projector headlights

My experience with my Gen 3 projectors are good. I had HID's in the stock housings but the light scatter was insane.

Now i have 4300k hid's in the V3 projectors and they are good, but not great. Projector housings that are not meant for HID do not take full advantage of the light that is output from the HID bulb. There are huge hot spots where the light is really bright in the center of the road, and the left and right sides are very weak.

I'm thinking about going to halogen or HIR's due to the poor uniformity of light.
