Re: projectors...a waste or good??

Definitely not a waste! One of the best upgrades I've done to my WJ!

The first few pics are the Gen III's with the stock signal/parking lights. There are 10k hid's in the low beams and 8k hids in the fogs.

EDIT: I JUST REALIZED I USED A NSFW PIC HOST, SORRY ABOUT THAT!

Just fogs on:

Just parking lights:

Just low's:

low's again:

Low beams and fogs:

And here is a daytime shot of the jeep with only the fogs on. If you look close you can see I changed out the parking lights and one signal light with LED's. I left the inner signal amber to detour the police from pulling me over for having hyper white signals.

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

you can swap front bumper and all from an 04 as shown here
http://www.wjjeeps.com/grilles/grille_04_03.htm
as far as wiring up the halos and the LEDs its easy.
I went with the Halos on with my parking lights I tapped the purple wire on the signal bulb that had 3 wires going to it. I have the leds flashing with the signals. I tapped into the green on the outer signal bulb for this.
and then I tapped both grounds in tho the black wire on the inner signal bulb. Now if you want the LEDs on steady tap those into the same wire as the halos.
here is the only pic of mine that I have all wired up and on

I have since switched to 6K HIDs in the lows, and 3K HIDs for the fogs
and a pic with the lights off

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

Personally, I think for a halogen bulb, you're better off with a stock housing. If your intention is to step up to HID bulbs, projectors are the best bet.

I've got Silverstar Ultras...had them in my OEM lenses and have them in my new projector lenses. I think I had better light with my OEMs. As far as looks go though...the projectors look a whole heck of a lot cooler in my opinion.

Also, if anyone is looking for some Limited lenses in excellent condition, email or PM me, I have a set for sale. I'm going to bite the bullet and step up to HID once the weather breaks and I can actually enjoy working out in the garage again.

Friggin winter...

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

you guys have any pictures of the projects pointed out against the road or a wall. I'd love to see the output and visibility from them.

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

With a little luck, I'll at least get my headlights done this weekend. If I do, I'll post up some before and afters on this thread for you.
