5000k from Xenon Depot....these are both "Xtreme" setups with their projector halo fogs. I should have done this months ago...

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

Sweet....they seem to be quality fixtures. All metal housings, and pretty easy to install if you turn your wheel all the way one way to gain access to the first and then the other way to access the other. You need to tear out about half of the inner wheel well liner. Other than that, it's like 2 or 3 torx screws per side, 1 plug, and out come the old fixtures. The new ones go in the same way. You may want to extend the halo leads first though so you can run them up into the engine compartment to hook up. The less rolling around on the ground you're doing, the better off you'll be. Winter blows. Also, careful not to strip the head on the retaining screw in the new housing when removing the bulb that it comes with. They are easy to strip. You will also need to get creative with cover for the back of the bulb. The cover that comes with the new fogs won't fit once the HID bulb is in place. I got creative with some rubber gasketing and black gorilla tape. Just need to keep the funk from getting into the housing and onto the bulb....

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

Yeah I've noticed that the projectors have a backing where the bulb is. Looks like a screw in backing. I'd have to take that out to pop in some HIDs

I believe they all have them, that is unless you retrofit projectors into your own headlights. But as far as them having the Halos, if you don't want them, you don't have to wire them up

Re: projectors...a waste or good??

I highly recommend against using Spyder! I order my LED tail lights from them and they was a wire that was flipped, so my brakes turn on my reverse light. Well come to find out SPYDER isn't even a malefactor, it's just a distributor of some Taiwanese product. The service people didn't think that it was a big deal, took about 2 weeks for them to ship me a new set.

But, be warned, customer service with Spyder (who I bought them from) is terrible! One of my LED's went out for some reason and Spyder has yet to answer a phone call or email. So, I'm just gonna order a replacement from V-LEDS.

Projectors are great to have. Make sure you do your research on the manufacture first, so you don't get any unpleasant surprises.

well i've had mine for over 4 yrs now and got them from the first company to carry them in the US, before they blew up on ebay. i love them and never had any issues with them. Now later, more companies started making them, so quality was lost along the way, which is why I say research the brand first.
