Re-useable Splash Shield clips.

Since I replaced the splash shield which got ripped by the tire when I forgot to tuck the front part back when I installed the bracket of the HID ballast under the fender, I did not buy the clips thinking that I might open it up again incase the ballast goes bad and break those damn clips again and waste money. I instead replaced it with these.

This is how it looked without the clips....

Just slide it and make sure it lines up with the bumper holes and lock it up.

Now I have a reusable one! Yay!

Only thing I would like to change is, if I can find a flatter head so it would sit flush with the bumper. But thats for another day....

I like it! Next time I remove either of my bumpers, I'm going to do the same thing.

I use reuseable plastic pop "rivets" push the head in they get tight, pull the head back they loosen and you pull them out. Cost about 40 cents each at lowes.

Re: Re-useable Splash Shield clips.

I was looking at some of the plastic rivets you are talking about but I had no idea how they would look, you have part number that you use? I got those from Lowe's too...

like the one on the top left, you push the thing in the center in and it spreads the tongs out, to remove you pull it back out, nice little things for when you need them

Re: Re-useable Splash Shield clips.

I saw a lot of those with different sizes, but when I was toying with it, it seems that they didn't spread wide enough to cover the gap on the holes of the splash shield.... Hmmm, maybe I need to bring a couple home for a test fit....

Re: Re-useable Splash Shield clips.

I did the same thing as OP, much better than plastic clips.
