So I took off the roof rack the other day and im in love with it. I plugged all the holes with some Christmas tree clips and silicone. But i want to lay a new rubber strip along the side to make it look nicer. Anyone have any idea where to get some rubber strips? Its almost 1" wide.

Yeah buddy...I had a hard time with it, but once I got used to the nice, clean look, I love it too. No leaks either, and I did the same thing you did.

Are you talking about laying rubber inside the "gutter" channel? Check out some industrial supply places like mcmaster.com or grainger.com. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the goop off of mine when I was done removing the supports. I was contemplating doing a black stripe in each gutter too, but decided against it. You might look for thick black pinstriping?

Post some pics when you install this stuff!

I placed my order with the web site i stated earlier. Total came to $57 for 1" wide, 3/8" thick by 16' long roll with adhesive already applied. Not to expensive. The channel depth is about 1/2" but i wanted to leave some there just for looks. I should have it in about a week so ill post some before and after pics of it.

You can also use the same stuff I used in the "gutter"...found it on ebay, but also saw that my local Autozone carries it. It's got 3m adhesive on the back and is just a little narrower than the gutter.

I looked for wider stuff, but nothing was out there. I forget how much I ordered...I want to say it was like 15 feet to do the whole thing, but make sure you measure first. I'm not sure if the rolls at Autozone are long enough to do one entire gutter or not. I got mine on ebay and just asked the seller to make sure the lenghts were long enough after I took measurements.

I really don't think it was an option. The side rails are standard equipment. The cross rails are optional.

Really!? I've NEVER seen one without the rails! Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though. :)
