Anyone have a DIY for head light (single beam) installation on a 04 grand cherokee, like where to put mount the ballasts etc. I have the ones from baja and have the regular size ballasts with the relays. thanks guys
Aaron
pretty much the same as the wk bro. The relay harness is the most important. I always recommend using the factory grounds on the wk. They are easy and right beside the headlamp. You can also make your own grounding point. Just make sure it is on the unibody and you sand it down to the bare metal.
really Il have to private message Tony about it. He told me I would need a relay, maybe he misunderstood me. So you asked Tony if wj grand cherokee's use them?
lol, There must of been a misunderstanding between me and Tony. btw here is a video chaoul gave me of installing a HID kit in a wj. pretty simple but the video explains it all.
Finished the install today and it looks great. I used the factory ground on the side of the fender. Here is a quick picture I took with my phone before the headlights housings were screwed back in.
sure, i will when I get home. I had to use a different ring terminal on the end of the wire though. The ones on the ends will fit on the negative battery terminal but not on the factory ground on the finder. I used something similar to this that I had laying around the house, not sure if its the same size as this one though. http://www.google.com/products/cata...g&show=dd&cid=14423942112823948237&sa=title#p
I dont think you will need a picture from me. Look at this pic of the wk, its pretty much in the same spot on the drivers side of the fender. i used this ground and then on the other side Tony told me to use the battery for a ground. I didnt look for a factory ground on the passenger side. The wj's battery is on the passenger side, opposite of wk.
