WJ Hood Scoop Ideas

Hey all,

So I am in the process of finding and putting a hood scoop on the Jeep. Anyone had any experience with them and if so, any pictures? I have only found two online and am having troubles figuring out where to get the parts. Thanks in advance everyone.

I really like the black Jeep's hood scoop but the cowl hood is starting to grow on me. Both Jeeps are from the internet and are not mine...

The black Jeep looks like when Kitt would go into "Super Pursuit Mode"

Re: WJ Hood Scoop Ideas

I'd love to know about those flares on the white one! Looks like they are a 1 off hand molded thing though. I have seen a set of those Lund scoops on a WJ that looked alright from a distance. Didn't get a close look though.

I have seen that jeep on another site, but can't remember where.

I believe these are those flares. http://icelandoffroad.com/GrandChero...S/Default.aspx

Been looking into a set myself.

Back OT for me.... I like the white one much better too. Its more agressive. Something about the black one just isn't right to mw.

Re: WJ Hood Scoop Ideas

I prefer the black one. Car-hoods.com used to sell a great looking hood for the WJ. Was gonna buy it but they wouldn't ship to the UK and now they don't even sell it.

Cost $700 IIRC, ready to paint.

Re: WJ Hood Scoop Ideas

I prefer the white one. The black one is nice but I'm not sure how it would look with the dip in the WJ hood.

If you used two of the scoops on the white one, side by side, it would look similar to a rammedic hood.

I've been looking into these for a few weeks. Even picked up a couple free, but they're way too small on a Jeep.

Mine is a WK but if you like these, Lund makes them.

I never even thought of buying two and putting them side by side. I think that would look amazing. Now I just have to find those hood scoops...Any one know the cost of repainting a hood?

Re: WJ Hood Scoop Ideas

Yeah I thought of using the two side by side a while back. Just can't find any in the UK that are suitable
