Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

I say go with black housings, one thing that would be a nice preventive measure, put a layer of clear silicone at the seems/edges. I've had the housings for a while and like them but they seem to be fragile, I guess I'm too rough with installing them because I have 2-3 hairline cracks in mine but silicone fixes it easily. The light output is really nice and the projector itself looks really good. I actually used the halos for some time but one burnt out so I disconnected them entirely (wouldn't suggest routing them because once they burn out, there are really no replacements and the LEDs I didn't even bother with. Good luck with your choice

Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

Hmm...I dunno Ryan...I like a black headlight housing. I don't know why. The chrome is just too flashy for me. I think that the black version would look great on on your WJ! Ohhhh...and when you ge them, just cut the halo wires. You don't need em...hehe..

Ryan: Currently, I am running stock, black reflector housings after my projector experiment failed...lol. The stock housings actually do a pretty good job with the HID's. I do however, have HID's in all the bulb locations. Lows, highs, and fogs. I don't know why I did the highs. But I did. I have 6000K in all of the sockets. But I have thought about doing 5000K. What do you mean by light bar? For the roof?

Uhhh..yeah Charlie...I think you don't know your own strength if you're putting cracks in the lenses when you're mounting them! LOL!

Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

The projector headlights are amazing I think. Ill never go back to the stock lights. Even though Ive notice a fine film on the outside of mine is now coming off...that doesn't bother me because the light output is still badass. I would drive without headlights before I put the stock ones back on

some older pics Ive posted before with my 6k HIDs:

I say get them, and some HIDs.

Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

I have the same set up as Will, minus the halos now since one burnt out:

By the way Will, what LED bulb did you go with for the middle parking light? Mine is dim during the day compared to the signal, just curious to see whether there is a brighter LED.

Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

Very nice Chuck! My middle light is a 27 led 914 bulb. Same amount of leds as the inside bulbs just different size socket.

Oh and actually there is only one thing I do not like about these lights. Since they have such a nice cutoff with no light scatter at all it can be kind of hard to read street signs if you dont have a car in front or behind you But then again you dont have to worry about blinding people.

Is 914 plug and play for that socket and or did you have to alter things?

Yeah I was explaining that second part to Paul, the projectors focus the light rather than spreading it out like the OEMs.

Re: WJ Projector Housings. Please help.

Search eBay for Grand Cherokee Halo, and you'll find them! ^^^

They are all over the place.
