Question Aftermarket Front & Rear Axles for a WJ (WTB)

Aloha y'all!! I don't know if my post belongs here or not? If it doesn't, then you guys are more than welcome to move it into the "Right" area. Now, on with the "Original programming." I was wondering if there's any aftermarket front axles/manufacturers out there that can "drop-in" into a WJ? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm interested in buying an 03/04 WJ Overland or a Limited edition with da 4.7L H.O. engine. The seller's selling it for a "Reasonably low" price, due to the fact that his axles; Front & Back, are totally shot & IN NEED of replacing! So, I'm busting my chops hurrr (here), trying to find manufacturers that sell aftermarket front & rear axles. So far, I found in a JP Magazine that TeraFlex sells both Dana 30's & 44's. They call em: Tera 30 & Tera 44. What do you guys think? Any advice would be good! And please don't hesitate to post any links to other companies that sell aftermarket Front & Rear axles! Thanks again guys!

Try jeep for parts. My 02 came equipped with Dana 44's. You should still be able to get factory parts.

east coast gear supply advertises bolt in Dana 60 rear and i think they have a front Dana 44. Reeeealy pricey though.

Re: Aftermarket Front & Rear Axles for a WJ (WTB)

I would start by finding out what he means by "front and rear are shot". His Jeep likely has the D30/D44A combo with VariLok front and rear and this requires special fluid and additives and special care to make sure the tires are all the exact same diameter at all times.

What I would do is go to the local salvage yard and find a D30/D44A combo and swap those into the Jeep. In most cases, you can do this for less than $1000 total, if you have your own tools.

Concur that he needs to clarify if it's the entire axle assemblies or just the axle shafts. Also important is how will he use the vehicle.
