No wheeling. Just highway/city driving.

I bought a set of 265/70R-16 General Grabber AT2's and put them on ProComp Series 152 (Fake) Beadlock Steel wheels in flat black. The offset is really tough - you can see about an inch, if not more, of tread outside the fender. I had to trim the front lower edge of the bumper shroud and do some heat induced bending of the inner fender liner both in front of and behind the front wheels. It works fine now but I should have done some trial fitting before buying them.

July 18, 2011 - the wheel/tire combo has obviously changed. Those wheels were way too heavy for my little 4.0 so I had the stockers blasted and powder coated. All works well now!

And "Yes", I used the DayStar 2" Spacer Kit - it installed and works fine!

Here's 1 quick side view:

Nice! Just ordered my Bilstein 5100 shocks and 2" Daystars from Kolak. The man is awesome.

Cool Re: Bilstein 5100 installation on 2in BB

O.K., Back Surgery on May 17th has kept me from doing anything on the Jeep until now. When the tire shop re-mounted my tires on the stock wheels after powder coating, they refused to install my SpiderTrax spacers. This past Saturday, I sat down on a milk crate and did one corner at a time. Pulled the wheel, cleaned the caliper, removed old/installed new Bilstein shock, painted caliper red, installed/torqued SpiderTrax spacer with Loctite and re-installed the wheel/tire. My new, BIGGER compressor has allowed my air tools to work finally. What a difference that alone made!

Sunday, I did the old plastic bumper trim job. It looks O.K. but gained me about 9" of approach angle clearance. I plan on doing some kind of pipe bumper/light bar to help the nose look/work better too. As always, more to come...
