Decided to change things up, and go a different route...

So I've had my WJ lifted from stock to a 2" Daystar budget boost to most recently the 2.5" Rusty's off road spring kit with 32" JK Sahara wheels/tires I've been rocking since November... Well I realized something, I have never gone off road or have the desire to go off road and I basically drive in the city... That being said, I'm going the street Jeep route... Now I wanted to get 20" SRT reps, but at $1500 i dont think so
So I found some gently used Nitto 255/55/18 and mounted them on the Sahara 18" wheels and put her back to stock height, but not before I did a little painting (red shocks and red sway bar links )
Before:

And now:

Oh yeah I also am doing a limited conversion, so I found color matched limited cladding and will hopefully get new front and rear bumpers soon... I think the RUBICON decal is gonna go away, and havent decided on the LIMITED badge yet... Also the interior and center caps will be getting carbon fibered! Plus I installed my new window trim belt molding.. Next on the list between the limited conversion and carbon fiber is to do red brake calipers.. I've been busy

I smell that TJXJWJ guy at work here. He's becoming a threat to us lifted guys with his shiny ass monotone pavement warrior. You know I can see over top of him when I'm following him. Seriously bro loose those stickers and badges when you get the cladding. She is gonna look sweet! Can't wait to see it done! Hmmm....Wonder what mine would look like with the stock springs and some 20" reps....................................

Tony definitely is a mystical force here in the WJ section. My bilsteins and addco sways were inspired by him. I had a lifted ZJ before, but like you said I realized I hardly ever go off road so I went more the street route. Tony convinced me the suspension upgrades were worth it, and Dave's thread pushed me over the edge on buying the superchips.

Ok, back to your Jeep, I cant wait to see it with the Limited bumpers! Although I was a fan of the black you had done. I kinda do like the custom limited and rubicon badges, but I like the debadged look too. I was like when I saw this thread, total reversal from before! Looks good so far

Thank you! Brand new bumpers are pretty expensive so i was looking used without much luck... So we'll see on that. My neighbor hates the black bumpers with body color cladding lol

Holy cow, you're doing a complete 180! I loved your Jeep before, but I'm very intrigued with the new mods to come. It's looking great already!

Re: Decided to change things up, and go a different route...

Looks great, although I did like the way you had it too!

I say now your going pavement pounder, lose the stickers/decals and front fogs on the bumper.

Regarding the bumpers, can't you just take the ones you've got off and get them painted at a bodyshop instead of buying new/used ones?

Oooh, and nice job on painting the suspension parts! Freaking nice!

Re: Decided to change things up, and go a different route...

Thanks guys! I love it. Regarding the bumpers, both of my current bumpers are damaged, and the limited bumpers look better imo. I'm for sure keeping the Hellas though, they come in handy on the back roads.. plus the girlfriend bought them for me and I wouldn't feel right taking them off after all the begging I had to do to get them hahah

Yeah Tony is like what the french call an "Eminence Grise". A shadowy figure behind the scenes with great influence pulling the strings

@99PlatinumWJ: I love the new look! I agree with what previous posters have said.

1) I would de-badge it as well as I think getting rid of those would make your ride look more serious and not like some kid little went wild with decals and stuck them everywhere . Plus aren't the Rubicon decals for Wranglers?

2) I love the body color cladding that you had done. Once you get the rear and front bumpers finished it will look so much better.

3) I would get rid of the off-roads mounted on the bumper and just go with a Gen III projector set with some HiD's. It would also throw the front's look together seeing as right now you have projector fogs, reflector headlights and those off-road lights which don't match too well together. So it would definitely tie the look together with some projectors.
