Shock Length

Simple question..I am looking at the IRO 3" lift and I want to do a fox shock...can you run the shock that is stated for 4" of lift on the 3" application?

Thank you

Re: Shock Length

I know that the piston will not sit where it is suppose to normally be. It may increase wear on the shock, in theory.

Have you asked the people at IRO? Having been to the shop a few times, they have good knowledge. They may be able to recommend or give the thumbs up to the 4" shock on the 3" lift.

Re: Shock Length

Thank you for the info..its a slow process..no hurry..just don't have the funds to fully commit to a long arm kit or a bunch of new control arms just yet. I am probably going to do a custom shock setup with some Bilstein 5160's from Kolak and the IRO 3" kit. I appreciate the feedback.

Re: Shock Length

I ran shock that were to long /and i bottomed them out... also lost a spring when flexing... justvmy two cents get the shocks that are ment for it. If its a dealbreaker to not have the fox...get a bigger lift
