Many people run the 4" of backspacing on WJ's with the soft 8's... It also comes down to what size tire you are currently running/plan on running to better answer your question.

Re: Cragar Soft 8's 16x8 - what backspace I need?

Is 4.5 an option? With only running a 265, 5" would work perfect but would not really leave you much room to grow. Where as a 4" would work fine as well, but would stick out quite far and may look a little silly. The sweet spot would be 4.5.

Just my 2 cents.
