Full Brake Upgrade?

I wanted to do a full upgrade on my brakes as the current ones are getting close to their end. So, I figured I'd get some quality ones. Whats the best I can get rotors and calipers wise. Also, I wanted to paint the calipers red (with G2 I think).

And, what are the best shocks for everyday driving?

Re: Full Brake Upgrade?

I believe the consensus around here is G2 for caliper paint. If your Jeep doesn't already have the akebono caliper upgrade on the front end I would recommend that. R1 concepts is a vendor here and sells brake parts, I will be using them next time to get my rotors for sure. My 2 cents worth is to get ceramic pads but we could easily start an argument about ceramic vs semi-metallic

Monroe makes good general shocks, but I would highly recommend the upgraded Bilstien shocks, ride quality is much improved. (although anything would have improved my original 130,000 mile shocks lol)

Re: Full Brake Upgrade?

I will second the R1Concepts rotors. I have had them on about a month and have really noticed the reduction in brake fade. I am using EBC yellowstuff pads and they have excellent grip cold and hot. If you really plan to do a full upgrade on your brakes I would also recommend the braided stainless lines from Classic Tube (all 5 rubber lines replaced with braided stainless).

Shocks...I would also highly recommend the Bilstein shocks. They have transformed my land yacht into a formidable on/off road machine. I would also recommend the rear Addco sway bar with greaseable bushings (contact the dealer Kolak here).
