Re: Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

After relooking at tires more suited to highway use (since you said you have no off road plans) these tires will fit the 225/75/16 requirement:

General Grabber HTS - $125 each and a score of 8.6

Kumho Road Venture APT KL51 - $99 each and a score of 8.2

Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G051 - $91 each and a score of 8.2

Out of those 3 I would probably recommend the General Grabber HTS, but they are the most expensive. Hope this helps a little for you.

Re: Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

Hi, I run Goodyear Fortera TripleTred on my WJ, Love em. My only complaint is the price but I will definitely buy another set when the time comes. Personally, I havent noticed any excessive road noise and the grip is superb.

Re: Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

Alright I have to bump this and I need answers fast since Im going to hopefully look into tires this Saturday. But this time I need 2 tires in 255/55-18.

My rears which are new are Kumho Ecsta STX (on when I bought the wheels). Im thinking about putting these on the fronts as well. But I seem to have a lot of options such as Nitto 420s, Toyo Proxes and Falken STZ04. Any help. Im leaning towards the Kumho since theres I possibility I might get a discount. My requirement for this tire is that it should have a curb protector and a flat looking sidewall. (which the Kumhos have) An ideas?
