Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

Hi guys, well I've been holding off on getting new tires but this current winter season is making me realize I should change them soon I have two options in sizes:

225/75-16 (which I believe I have on right now, and most likely stick with this)

or

245/75-16

Current Tires: Goodyear Wrangler ST

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 (no lift or drop). These tires are used daily and I need them to be good on the highway, city, and be able to deal with Snow, Rain, Sun, and basically New York Weather. I have no plans on offroading so thats not a big deal but they should handle some level of dirt. Can you guys suggest some brands and models for me? Also, if they have white lettering I think it might be a plus (odd request I know but it helps cut up the look of a thick tire).

i use the 5.9 16's on my XJ. i am on the second set of Michelin LTX M&S. I luv, luv, luv them Chuck. Quiet highway. very good in snow and wet. not too expensive.
i use the 225/70 - 16.

I not sure if a pep boys is near you, but my jeep came with some tires that pepboys sells. They are really good for the price, which is cheap.

Toyo are good, but expensive. The BEST I use and have always used (just my opinion) are BFG A/T. I have had both BFG and Toyo and have to say, BFG all the way!!!

These were the ones I was looking for before I knew I was going to sell my WJ. I have Michelins on mine.

Checked out BF's those thing look like offroading tires Price is actually 40 more than the Toyo AT. Question though I checked out Discount Tire Direct and notice they have two Toyo Open Country A/T's (one says P Met while the other says LT) What does this mean? Any other suggestions? And thanks so far everyone Im looking into each brand.

Wow those look nice, that in the top for sure. Never heard much and General but they seem to be a favorite among Jeeps. Are they reputable in terms of quality and ride?

Edit: Im looking at the link and among the sizes and I notice they have two of the same sizes but ones 30 less than the other. Whats the difference?

Edit Edit lol: Looks like the white lettering is less.

Re: Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

You can def find older model BFG A/T for cheap at a local tire shop. I once got new ones (not the new A/T TKO, just A/T) for 160$ a set of two.

That's not a bad price! Less than 1 of my tires...

I love Goodyear tires. I ran 245/75/17 with the "silent armor" and they were great! Very quiet and handled decent on the sand, wet roads, and dry roads. Never had them in snow, and they were a very quiet tire.

Re: Need New Tires, Any Suggestions?

I've used the Destination ATs with great success. It's a little too much tire for what you're likely looking for, however.
