Re: new front rotors for wj 2000

when i move to colorado with my wj, i had problems with warping the oem roters, so i switched to drill roters and ceramic pads... i have 30,000 on them and they dont sqeal a single bit, and no warping either... get on ebay and you should be able to get a good deal on the drilled roters, thats where i got mine from..

The warping issue isn't the rotors, it's the calipers. Trust me... Before you spend any extra on front brakes, replace the calipers. See here:

Wink Re: new front rotors for wj 2000

About squealing, it usually caused by the pads not the rotors. Keep in mind all pads do squeal its just some pads have a shorter temperature range when they squeal vs others. That is just the nature of most pads. When you want good stopping power, there might be some comfort lost (squeal, dust, etc), because they are aggressive pads (like stock brembo pads on SRT8s or sometimes Hawk HPS). You want very low dust and noise (mostly ceramics), you might lose a bit of braking power. You just have to find the median.

Try changing brake pads before you change rotors if they are not warped, might save you some money.
