New Tires

So it's finally time for new tires. I'm looking for suggestions on good tires and the cheapest places to get them. I drive about 30 miles each way to work everyday. But I also take the WJ offroading in some mud several times a month so I need tires that are good both onroad and offroad. I also was curious as to what size tire I should/could run with a stock WJ. All information is much appreciated.

Re: New Tires

I just put a set of 255/70/16 Dynapro RF10s on my WJ and they fill up the fender wells, but have zero rub so far. I have the same tire in a 255/70/17 on my WK and I love them on both. Great ride on the road, great tread for off road, aggressive looks, great price.

I always get my tires from http://www.discounttiredirect.com

Re: New Tires

The only decent all terrain I have experience with are the BF Goodrich All terrains, and they were awesome on my ZJ. They were great in the snow, pretty good in the little mud I saw and weren't overly noisy on the highway.

Re: New Tires

I had general grabbed AT2 245/70/16 on my wj and loved them . They worked great for highway driving and the occasional offroad. look just like bfg all terrains but cheaper. Now on my wk I have falken rocky mountain all terrains . Only had them on for 2 weeks but they ride and look great. You can do your own research I usually buy from these sites.

Re: New Tires

Think I've decided to go with general grabber AT2. The tread looks pretty good and at a price of 123.00 a tire I couldn't find anything worth buying that is cheaper

Re: New Tires

I have Toyo Open Country A/T tires. They were $140 each at my local tire shop. I also drive 35 miles each way to work and take my Jeep offroad at times. So I was looking for a higher mileage tire, w/ decent offroading ability, and preferably cheap.

The tires are about as good as you can get in mud/snow for a A/T tire. It looks like I"m going to get 60k-65k miles out of these tires.

Re: New Tires

I have the goodyear wrangler silent armors and love them. They work really well offroad especially in the snow and are very quite on the road for an all-terrain tire.

What fog projectors are you using? If it's the ones off of Ebay you would think it's a 9005.
