I just got my Powerstop drilled/slotted rotors in, will be installed tomorrow. Can't wait to get rid of my warped stockers! Next I'll need to paint my calipers.
Couldn't find much info out there about the rotors, should definitely post your opinion of them.
So far I like them, did a flush and put in dot4 now pedal is at top and grabs immediately. Ill update when I put 1,000 miles on them.
They come packaged nicely, rotors sealed in bag and anti corrosive lube sprayed on, they are to be coated to resist rust so we will see. Next time I do brakes will be akebono calipers no doubt, thats if I keep the jeep that long
I paid about $115 shipped from Summit Racing (Just fronts). Just kept the pads from my old rotors since they're less than 6 months old. I noticed a much better "bite" just with the rotors. They also seem to stop slightly more powerfully and it's a very smooth deceleration until reaching a stop. I don't remeber the car stopping this smoothly and with as much bite in the 2 years I've owned it.
Could very well be because my rotors have been pretty badly warped but I think there is an improvement in stopping power. For $15 over what my mechanic estimated, I'm happy with the performance and of course looks. Will post pics after a wash!
Thanks man, I definitely reccomend them. At first I wasn't sure since I couldn't find much out there online but they're nice. I'm sure there's nicer setups and when my pads need replacement I can go with more aggressive ones but for now it's a nice improvement. Look nice and subtle behind the wheels too.
