Rim selection help

I need to buy new rims and tires. I currently have a 2001 black limited wj with rogue chrome 17 inch wheels. They are peeling bad and leaking and just have had it with them. I like the way they look but it's time to go since I need new tires. I pretty much know I want brigstone dueler revo 2 245/70/17's. I'm going to be adding a set of bilstein hd shocks and a set of 3/4 inch spring spacers. I looked for 1 inch spacers but can't seem to find them. Ive been looking hard for rims and just can't decide. Doesn't seem like too many attractive 17 inch 5x127 aftermarket rims out there. Everytime I find a style I like they don't have a size that fits. Just looking for some suggestions. Going to stick with 17's. Possibly 18's. I really wish they made srt reps in a smaller diameter to use with a bigger tire. I like the 5 spoke look.

Thanks,

Re: Rim selection help

Depends if you want aftermarket or not, but the jk rubicon or sahara wrangler rims look good! Just an idea. Maybe paint them black, would look great imo!

Re: Rim selection help

I'll go aftermarket or stock rims, basically anything that will fit that looks decent. I was actually considering all black or a combo of black and silver or black and chrome. I thought the dub black drone 5 spoke would look cool but of course they don't Come in the proper size

Re: Rim selection help

I would get the rims you have powder coated to match your black WJ. That would be sweet. Now that I think about it I have the same rims, I should do that also. I agree with your tire selection they are great treads

Yea if you are sticking with 17's your choices are limited.Like Michael said, the Rubicon wheels do look good.Since your set on what I think is a AT tire and your Jeep is black I would go with a black rim.You said the DUB black drone 5 doesn't come in the proper size but if these below are it then they do indeed come in the size you need.Just scroll down a bit and you will see them in flat black.

Re: Rim selection help

I must have overlooked that rim size on the drones! didn't think they had that bolt patten. So my next question is how will a back spacing of 5.8 on the drones changed the fit since the stock have a 6.5 backspacing. Also offset is 40 on these as apposed to 50.8 on the stock. Anyone ever see these on a wj? I'll have to look for one of those virtual wheel viewers to try and see how they would look.

Thanks!
