Should I stick with the stock rims?

Ok so I saw thread by NorCalWK on how he was asking opinions about rim selections...& I wasnt gonna thread-Jack so I started this one for my WJ.

I kind of want to change my current OEM rims to some other ones but since they are 17'' theyre arent many options and since I paid $1300+ for the tires, Im gonna look for 17'' wheels and stick with the tires. There are 3 choices.

1. Stay with the Stock one's
2. Buy some JK Rubucon wheels and paint them charcoal gray with a inferno red lip (or maybe just gray w/o lip)
3. Or some AEV Pintler wheels

Here is the visual help.
OEM Look (what it looks like now):

Couldn't find many WJ with JK wheels but this 1's good:

And the AEV Pintler Wheels, Not a WJ but u get it, (I have those exact tires BTW)

I'm more leaning towards option #2 but thats kinda biased in a way but I like options 2 and 3.

Re: Should I stick with the stock rims?

If it were me, I'd stick with the stock rims, especially if you intend to wheel the WJ. Why spend $$$ on new wheels if they are going to get torn up? if anything, I might have the oe wheels powder coated in a gun metal gray. I really like the look of that WJ wheel, reminds me of the old cragers a bit .....

Re: Should I stick with the stock rims?

i am a big fan of the stock rough chrome wheel on the WJ and have them on mine. so i would say keep them.
i bet yours are not pealing due to were you live.

but do oyu want a darker look or something to match the reed?
can give them a red coat over the chrome so they have a shine and red look like smoked chrome dose to match. but if oyu can find a deal and like them go for it. its your jeep and what you like relay should count
