Re: Squeaky wheel!

It doesn't get any worse round corners Marty, so hopefully that's a good thing. 850?!? Damn. But thats good advice cheers. I'll have a good check for all that while I've got the wheel off.

Yeah been planning to do the brakes fully since I bought it. I'm not sure when the pads were last done, but I've covered about 10k since buying it. Was gonna go for drilled or grooved discs, but having read comments on here, I understand I'm better to stay away from them.

It seems to come and go aswell. Been driving me nuts. Should hopefully get the parts today of tomorrow. So that's Friday night ruined

Re: Squeaky wheel!

I'll give that a try. It's been pretty quiet today, had a couple of squeaky outbursts for a couple of minutes. Fingers crossed the parts will arrive tomorrow, though it may be Sunday before I can do anything.

Now that you mention the lock to lock thing. I do remember replacing the driveshaft (I think you guys call it the propshaft but I could be wrong) on my XJ, but it was a knocking sound when te wheel was on full lock. It's definately not that this time. It's a metal to metal type sound, but god it makes my baby sound like a right banger!
