When I needed to change my brake pads for my 04' WJ when I had it, I went to Advanced Auto Parts and they gave me the ones for 99-02 which had the Teeves. They were a bit hard to put on. They messed up bought my front rotors buy making a 2CM groove in the middle of it. I replaced them immediately which the correct ones and made sure they gave me the right ones!

There isn't an upgrade kit for the rear Hector. From 99-04 they are all the same.

I just bought two new callipers for the rear as I had a minor sticking issue with one of them too and I wanted all four changed out to new ones - OCD.

If you have any problems with yours I'm sure JFJ will be able to supply them if you e-mail - but if you don't I wouldn't change them as they won't be any different to you current ones. Well...except being super clean and silver.

Re: Teves calipers to Akebono calipers

You could get a 're-build' kit for the rears, I just had enough...

Re: Teves calipers to Akebono calipers

Akebono sounds Japanese? Is the brand like Brembo specializing on high performance brake parts?
