Two tire/wheel choices - which one?

I started with an '01 WJ with stock 17" wheels. Then the 4.0 crapped out, so I punted and bought an '00 WJ V8 with 16" wheels. The 16's are Wrangler SA and the 17's are Forteras. The tread depths are about the same. The usage is on-road winter driving in Cleveland snow. Should I take the 17's off the scrap vehicle and put them in place of the 16's?

Off-topic, the '01 EVIC antenna is very different from the '00 unit, and its Homelink works much better.

It's up to you, to me it would come down to which ever wheels you think look better. I'm not a fan of either tire.

Re: Two tire/wheel choices - which one?

I hear ya on the tires. The 17's look better to me so I'm inclined to do the swap. I have to take the fronts off the scrapper to reclaim the nearly-new Akebonos anyway. Also grabbing the RBP radio in place of the RAZ.

I like the look of the 17" wheels on the WJ too. The tire choices on either are well, um... meh in my book.
