What lift height do I need for 33" tires?

Hi everyone, I am looking to get a lift kit and beefy tires for my stock 2003 WJ. I googled a lot of pictures and really liked the Grand Cherokee with 33 tires. I was wondering what lift kit do I need to get to clear the new wheels? I don't want to go crazy and get the 6-7" lift, ideally 3-4" lift would be perfect for me, please advice if that would be enough?

I have 02 and I have 2"BDS and I'm running 31x10.50x16 with Cooper STT Pro mud tires, stock wheels and it's tight. When my front tire is full lock there almost touching inner fender. They make Bushwacker cut out fender flares for WJ , it's on there site. They run 33s on that, with 4 " lift.

Excellent! Thanks a lot for the answer. That is what I thought about the lift, but didn't think about the fender flares, which is something that I was planing to get in the future. Well in this case I have to get it all together at once to make everything work together properly. I guess these are the ones you're talking about https://www.carid.com/2003-jeep-gran...s-7594334.html

man they look so damn aggressive!

Thanks this is exactly what I thought! Cut out fender flares is a great idea. These are so badass https://www.carid.com/2003-jeep-gran...s-7594334.html
