1) I personally don't like the subscriptions how they are with how you get a color then it's a bolded version of that color then a different color and then that color is bolded.

2) I think it would be cool if each membership level had a different color scheme.

3) I never liked the color of the "Retired Members" as it's sometimes hard to read . Plus I've always thought it would be more appropriate if they were known as "Founding Member" instead.

Re: Advertisements...

Maybe Scott should post the total amount needed for site maintenance, and people can donate as much, or as littler, and as often as they can afford to.

Advertisements could easily pay the majority, if not all of the fees for a website like this. It isn't that expensive.

Joe - you might want to start by buying a membership, before you start telling all the ppl that already bought a membership what to do - DUTCH!

That might work and advertisements should totally cover most of the cost. You would think with the prices the vendors pay just to be Vendors on here that that would significantly help towards the overall cost of the site but I don't know as we don't have too many vendors.

I'm not telling anyone what to do. I just thought we were having a productive forum on the subscriptions that Jeff started this thread about. Always have to chime in with some snark a** comment of little to no value other than to belittle someone? Contemplated moving past your petty high schoolesque rivalry to something more meaningful or productive?

Re: Advertisements...

How much does this site cost to maintain yearly? $3000 - $3500?

When advertisements are being considered that is really a shame that we as a Jeep community have to depend on it to fund such a highly populated well organized site that a good majority of us actually use for valuable, helpful information on our Jeeps!!
But yes Jeff a lot of peeps on here have joined and dropped already.since I've been here even!! It takes a true Jeeper to be a lifer

BabyGirl on the go....

I guess we'll have to wait until the Boss man chimes in.

I know it's a shame but advertising isn't all that bad and when you put so much into the website you've created and can't get enough mutual support then it's on the table. Plus if anyone b****es about advertising, anyone who knows anything about modern web browsing can just get an adblocker and be done with it.

That's good to know you passed HS but you certainly haven't passed the HS level of humor. That last statement is very classy . Keep up the good work!

Re: Advertisements...

joe you have over 3000 posts on here in the last few months and you cant even donate $10 to keep the site going?!? if every member was like that there would be no site! i love this site being ad free (most organized forum i have ever joined) and hopefully more members continue to support the site so it can remain ad free.
