HELP - How do I post attachments to a new thread

I am a new member and it says 'you may not post attachments' at the bottom left of the screen. Why not?

I would like to share a recent project with the community and cannot because of this limitation. Please help.

Re: HELP - How do I post attachments to a new thread

I don't know the number of posts necessary before you can post attachments.

But instead of posting that you can't, why not make a post explaining who you are and what it is you are so anxious to share.

In other words, become a member of the community, not just someone who pops in because he wants to show something.

At least say Hi!

Re: HELP - How do I post attachments to a new thread

Hi bill_de!

It is presumptuous to assume that I just want to show the community something. I actually want to help others by sharing my experience installing a JL Stealthbox in my WK2: JL Audio Stealthbox and Amp Install - Detailed Photos and Resources

I am not sure if it was a minimum number of posts that allowed me to add attachments or if it was because I updated my profile with some details about my Jeep, but I can now add attachments to threads/posts.

There was some great info I found on this forum, and hopefully what I shared will be helpful for others so that they have an easier time than I did. I think there should be a part of the FAQ or Forum rules that explains what is required to enable attachments for a user. There no doubt will be someone like me down the road who wants to jump right in and share something to help others.

....although I am certain limiting a member's ability to upload attachments is a way to sort of vet new members to make sure they will be a reputable part of the community.

Anyways, thanks for your reply!
