how about a maintenance thread?

i feel like sometimes i forget the "little" things that i need to do to my jeep. I'm so focused on the next big mod, that the little stuff falls through the cracks.

maybe we can take scott's how-to's on general maintenance and expand upon them?

how to: oil change, tranny fluid change, how to know if you need to perform "X" maintenance. How to go around your undercarriage and tighten bolts that might need it. things like this.

I think that, for people like me, it would be good to have a reminder of the less "glamorous" things that NEED to be done.

Just my $ 0.02

EDIT: by thread i mean sub forum....

They cover some stuff, but not everything and not with any detailed (pictures) step-by-step. I'll do as much as I can this weekend and try and get some tutorials with pics up. I can also do some screen shopts of the service amnual to help.

Re: how about a maintenance thread?

for example... im on mile 46,000 when do i change the tranny fluid? what about replacing the battery?

These things are important details that sometimes we don't pay enough attention to.

sounds great. Your maintenance how-to's are awesome. I figure we can build the forum around them.
