receiving notifications

Hi - I think I already posted here that I was a new member, but now I'm not sure...because I'm not getting my notifications that a thread has a new post, even though both threads I'm on *do* say I'm subscribed to them. Anyone know if there's a minimum post count or something before you receive notifications of new posts?

Ron

Hey Ron, The best way I've found to do it is to click "User CP" at the top of the site and you can view notifications of any new posts in your subscribed threads.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask

Re: receiving notifications

actually, I found what I needed in the control panel, from the idea you gave me - it's under options/messages and notifications, you have to change the "default thread notification mode" to instant or whatever you choose - it appears to default to "none". I am posting this here just in case someone else is looking for this answer!

thanks for your help,
Ron

Not a problem Ron, Enjoy your stay

By the way that instant email notification can be helpful for being on a mobile device but if you're on a PC or Mac just click "User CP" and all the threads you've subscribed to will show up there. Threads with newer posts will be highlighted for you.
